Caricatures from photos used as gifts for long service awards

Earlier this year, I was asked to draw caricatures at a staff event for Maped Helix (remember those geometry sets?). Some of the staff weren't there on the day, so this week I drew #caricaturesfromphotos #caricature #commission in the same style as my 'live' drawings. These are done with Promarker pens and a brush pen. Get in touch through the Contact Page if you would like something similar for your staff!

I was invited to draw #caricature sketches at this #wedding. There were plenty of good faces to draw! I used #Promarker pens with a brush pen for the outlines, on Seawhite bleedproof marker paper.

I was asked to do a #digital #caricature from a photo. The subject is the former Welsh international rugby player #AndyPowell who once made the news for the wrong reasons. I'll let you Google (other search engines are available) the story for yourselves! The drawing was done in Sketchbook Pro on a Microsoft Surface tablet. There were a number of layers, including a rough layout, colour blocking, outline, and light and shadow effects.

#caricature #commission for #gift Some of the 21 sketches I drew this week for a the staff of a music school. The drawings are based on photos sent by the client. They are drawn on #Seawhite paper. The outline is done with a Pentel FP10 brush pen, and shading is achieved with four shades of grey using Promarkers.

This #caricature #commission is a #gift for a corporate client. It's not every day I combine species, nor is it every day I have a debate with the client about whether to hide a part of the anatomy or cover it with a strategically placed leg.
